W. & C. Fellowes & Company was a dry goods firm operated by William and Cornelius Fellowes. Headquartered originally in Louisville, Kentucky, W. &. C. Fellowes & Company specialized in trade with states along the Ohio and Mississippi rivers. It imported fancy cloth from the Netherlands, manufactured jeans and socks, and sold fancy and staple dry goods. As the business expanded, William and Cornelius Fellowes established a branch store in New Orleans called Fellowes, Jenkins & Company. During the 1830s and 1840s, the company retained the firm of Logan & Lincoln in at least four legal cases in Illinois courts.
