Resolvedby the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled,
THATthe three months extra pay, provided by the fifth section of the act approved July
nineteenth eighteen hundred and forty eight, to the officers, non commissioned officers,
musicians and privates, who have been in actual service in the late war with Mexico,
and who have served out the term of their engagement, or have been honorably discharged,
and to the widows or heirs of those who have died, or been killed in the service,
shall be paid and settled by the Pay Department of the Army, under such regulations
as the Paymaster General, with the approval of the Secretary of War, shall establish.
