Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the United State of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War is hereby required to issue a pension certificate to Mary Brown, of Clarks- burgh, in the State of Massachusetts, ⋄ Bowlin to amend by B. to H. R. 4. Massachusetts, aged seventy seven ^four^ years and was born before the close of the revolution and—widow. ⋄widow of Jacob Brown, senior, a revolutionary pensioner, deceased, ^(^and step-mother of Major Jacob Brown, late of the United States army,^)^ granting to her a pension at the rate of twenty ^eight^ dollars per month, commencing on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven, and continuing during her natural life. |
