A BILL
[?] payment of arrearages of pension to Antho-

Strike out all after an acting clause &c.
That the pension ^heretofore and^ now allowed by law to Anthony Walton Bayard shall be, and the same hereby is, increased from eight to twelve ^fifteen^ dollars per month, and be continued at that rate for and during the term of his natural life, and that the pension aforesaid commenced on March 4th, 1848

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, ^(^That the pension of Anthony Walton Bayard
shall commence on the seventeenth day of March, eighteen
hundred and seventeen; and that he shall be entitled to re-
ceive the arrearages of the same, at the rate of eight dol-
lars per month, from the said seventeenth day of March,
eighteen hundred and seventeen, up to the time from which
his said pension has already been paid to him.^)^
