A BILL
For the relief of Joseph and Lindley Ward.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the Commissioner of Indian Affairs be,
and he is hereby, authorized to adjust and settle the claims
of Lindley and Joseph Ward, arising upon their contract
with the United States to furnish rations for the emigrating
Indians of the Pottawatomie tribe, in eighteen hundred and
thirty-eight, according to the principles set forth in the
report accompanying this bill; and that the same be paid
out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appro-
priated.
