Mr. T. Butler King, from the Committee on Naval Affairs
reported the following bill:
A BILL
Directing the Secretary of the Navy to settle certain accounts
of officers of the Navy, who have been required to act as
pursers of the vessels of which they were placed in command,
during the existing war with Mexico.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the Secretary of the Navy is hereby di-
rected to settle the accounts of such officers of the navy
as have been required to act as pursers of the vessels of
which they were placed in command, during the existing
war with Mexico, according to the principles of equity and
justice.
