For the relief of Nancy Tompkins.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That a pension of one hundred dollars per an-
num be allowed and paid, out of any money in the treasury
not otherwise appropriated, in half yearly payments, to
Nancy Tompkins, the mother of John Place, late a seaman
in the navy of the United States, for and during the period
of her natural life, commencing from the sixth day of De-
cember, eighteen hundred and forty-seven.
