Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the fourth section of the act of the third March, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, entitled “An act to establish certain post routes, and for other purposes,” be so amended as to allow to the officers, seamen, and marines of the navy of the United States, engaged on any of the coasts of Mexico, the same privilege of receiving letters free of postage, which is therein and thereby granted to the officers and soldiers of the army in Mexico. |
