A BILL
For the relief of John P. Converse.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, ^(^That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to John P. Converse the sum of five hundred and ninety-one dollars, out of any money in the treasury belonging to the Post Office Department, not otherwise appropriated, being the amount of his travelling expenses, and the value of his time, while in the service of the said Post Office Department, in the year eighteen hun- dred and forty-one.^)^ |

That the Secretary of the Treasury be and he is hereby directed to audit and adjust
the account of John P. Converse as set forth in House report No. 100, and, on finding
that said services were rendered and expenses incurred as set forth in said account,
that he pay the same out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated,
or such portion of the same as shall be so proved as aforesaid.
