the following bill:
A BILL
For the relief of certain forward warrant officers of the navy.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That in all cases where persons have hereto-
fore been regularly appointed forward warrant officers in
the navy, and have performed the duties of their respective
offices, they shall be entitled to receive the pay due to their
respective grades of service without regard to the number
of such officers in the navy at the time of such appoint-
ments; and the Secretary of the Navy is hereby authorized
to cause the accounts of such officers to be audited and
paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise ap-
propriated.
