Mr. Vinton, from the Committee of Ways and Means, reported the following bill:
A BILL
Making appropriations for the support of the Military Academy for the year ending the thirtieth of June, one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled, That the following sums be, and the same are
hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated, for the support of the Military
Academy for the year ending the thirtieth of June, one
thousand eight hundred and forty-nine:
For pay of officers, instructors, cadets, and musi-
cians, seventy-nine thousand seven hundred and sixty-four
dollars.

26 For commutation of subsistence, five thousand six
hundred and twenty-one dollars.
For forage for officers’ horses, four thousand five hun-
dred and twelve dollars.
For clothing for officers’ servants, four hundred and
twenty dollars.
For repairs and improvements; fuel and apparatus;
forage for public horses and oxen; stationery, printing,
and other incidental and contingent expenses, thirty thou-
sand one hundred and fifty-five dollars.
For the increase and expenses of the library, one
thousand five hundred dollars.
For expenses of the board of visiters, two thousand
dollars.
For barracks for cadets, seventeen thousand five hun-
dred dollars.
