Mr. Vinton, from the Committee of Ways and Means, reported the following bill:
A BILL
Making app[ro]priations for the payment of revolutionary and other pensions of the United States for the year ending the thirtieth June, one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled, That the following be, and the same are here-
by, appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated, for the payment of pensions for
the year ending the thirtieth of June, one thousand eight
hundred and forty-nine:
For revolutionary pensions, under the act of the
eighteenth of March, one thousand eight hundred andeighteen, four ⋄ Line 10^th —after the word “eighteen” insert ^strike out after the word “four” in line 10 and insert:^“A’^ ^ “in addition to the ân^ unexpended balance remaining in the treasury of $83.877.43 cts “fourteen” 1^st ⋄ thousand one hundred and twenty-two dollarsand fifty-seven cents.

and sixty thousand dollars.
For pensions to widows and orphans, under the act

Be it further enacted, That the Proviso to the 2^nd section of the act entitled, An act making appropriations for the payment of revolutionary and other pensions of the United States for the year ending the thirtieth June, one thousand eight hundred and forty seven and for other purposes,” ( approved May 7^th 1846, be and the same is hereby repealed⋄
