bill:
A BILL
Making an appropriation to improve the navigation of the
Mississippi river.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the sum of seventy-five thousand dollars
be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, out of any money
in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for removing
obstructions and improving the navigation of the Missis-
sippi river, which sum shall be expended under the direc-
tion of the Secretary of War.
