Mr. Grinnell, from the Committee on Commerce, reported the following bill:
A BILL
To establish the collection district of Wareham, in the State of Massachusetts.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That, from and after the thirtieth day of June
next, a collection district shall be formed, which shall in-
clude all the waters, shores, and islands in the town of
Wareham; the waters, shores, and islands of that part of
the town of Sandwich, on Buzzard’s and Buttermilk bays;
and the waters, shores, and islands, lying and being east-
erly of the southwest point of Ancoot cove in the town of
Rochester; such parts of the aforesaid district as have
been included in the collection districts of Barnstable and

New Bedford are hereby separated therefrom; Wareham
shall be the sole port of entry in said district, and a col-
lector shall be appointed by the President, by and with the
advice and consent of the Senate, to reside and keep his
office at Wareham; whose compensation shall be the
usual fees, forfeitures, and penalties, as established by law,
and no more; and Sippican, in the town of Rochester,
shall be a port of delivery in said district.
