BE IT ENACTED
By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
Congress Assembled.
That the Secretary of the Navy be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Sarah Duncan, widow of Silas Duncan deceased, late a master commandant in the navy of the United States, to the legal representatives of said Silas Duncan, deceased, as arrears of pension to which said Silas Duncan was entitled, on account of a permanent disability occasioned by a cannon shot wound received by him while engaged in battle with the enemy on Lake Champlain, during the last war with Great Britain, the sum of twenty dollars per month from the twelfth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventeen, to the first day of March one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.
