For the relief of John Morgan.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he
is hereby, authorized and directed to ascertain the value
of a horse lost in September, eighteen hundred and forty-
six, when employed to convey an express, and which died
in consequence thereof, and to pay the said value to John
Morgan, the owner of said horse, out of any moneys in
the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
