BE IT ENACTED
By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
Congress Assembled.
That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to pay to Emanuel Berri and John M. Keese, trading and doing business in the city of New York, as merchants, under the style and firm of Berri & Keese, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the amount of import duties paid by them on a case of silk ribbands, which they exported to France for benefit of debenture, in the ship Albany, and which they have never received, in consequence of the entry not being made at the custom house in the city of New York, as required by law.
