That John S. Couger, assignee of Thomas Lyon, who was assignee of Amos Hedden, be,
and he is hereby, authorized to enter, without payment, at any land office of the
United States, any unappropriated quarter section of public land, subject to private
entry, at the minimum price of one dollar and twenty five cents per acre, for which
he shall be entitled to, and shall receive, a patent from the United States, vesting
the title thereof, in fee simple, in him and his heirs: Provided, That the said John
S. Couger shall first execute a deed of relinquishment to the United States of all
right and title to the tract of land patented as bounty to said Amos Hedden.
