To provide a custom-house at Wiscasset.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be autho- rized to purchase for the use of the United States, the building and lot of ground connected therewith, now occu- pied as a custom-house, at Wiscasset, in the State of Maine: Provided, That the cost thereof shall not exceed the sum of two thousand dollars, and that the title to the lot of ground aforesaid shall be found clear and stisfac- tory, upon examination by the district attorney of the United States, resident in the State of Maine. Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of |

two thousand dollars, for the purpose aforesaid, and two hundred dollars, for the repairs of the aforesaid building, is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended under the direction of the Secretary of the Treasury. |
