A BILL
For the relief of the widow and children of Captain Robert
Gray, the discoverer of the Columbia river.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That there be, and hereby is, granted to Martha
Gray, widow, and to the children and heirs of Captain
Robert Gray, the discoverer of the Columbia river, ten
sections of land in the Oregon territory, to be selected by
them any time within five years after surveys shall have
been made in said territory: Provided, That the said
sections shall not be so located as to interfere with any
improvements or rights of settlers in said territory, nor
with any rights reserved by treaty existing between this
country and Great Britain
