Be it enacted ^further^ by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled ,
That a sum of money be, and the same is
hereby, appropriated, to be paid out of any money in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated, sufficient for the fol-
lowing purposes:
For the improvement of Little Sodus bay, on Lake
Ontario, five thousand dollars;
For the improvement of the harbor at the mouth of

Eighteen Mile creek, at Olcott, on Lake Ontario, five
thousand dollars;
For the improvement of the navigation at St. Clair
flats, twenty-five thousand dollars

For the improvement of the navigation of James
river, in the State of Virginia, twenty thousand dollars;
For a survey and examination of the Alleghany river,
the Sabine river, and the harbors at the mouth of Black
river, and New Buffalo, on Lake Michigan and Little Egg
Harbor, and for the improvement of the navigation of the
Passaic river, in the State of New Jersey, ten thousand
dollars; ^For a survey and examination of the [perry?] [way?] Shoals in the River Delaware five hundred dollars^
For the improvement of the harbor at the mouth
of the Grand river, on Lake Michigan, four thousand dollars;
For the improvement of the harbor at the mouth of
Kalamazoo river, on Lake Michigan, four thousand dol-

For the improvement of the harbor at Little Fort, on
Lake Michigan, five thousand dollars;
For the improvement of the harbor at New Castle,
in the State of Delaware, five thousand dollars;
For the improvement of Great Wood Hole harbor,
in the State of Massachusetts, four thousand dollars;
For the construction of an ice harbor at Delaware
city, in the State of Delaware, five thousand dollars;

For erecting a break-water at Nantucket, twenty
thousand dollars;
For the improvement of Ocracock inlet, North Caro-
lina, ten thousand dollars.
^For the improvement of the harbor at Sheboygan on Lake Michigan four thousand Dollars.^
^For repairs of the piers in the River Delaware at Marcus Hook, fifteen hundred dollars^
^For the repairs of the piers at Chester, in the State of Pennsylvania five hundred dollars^
^For the improvement of the harbor at the mouth of Big Sandy Creek on Lake Ontario five thousand dollars.^
