BE IT ENACTED
By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
Congress Assembled.
That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to Staunton W. Gaar, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the just and fair value of the articles of property used by the officers and soldiers of the third and fourth Kentucky regiments of volunteers, under an agreement made by the officer or officers in command that he should be paid therefor, and also a fair compensation for the use and occupancy of his premises, while said regiments encamped thereon, in the month of October, A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven.
