BE IT ENACTED
By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
Congress Assembled.
That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay, out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Ira T. Horton, such sum of money, not exceeding five hundred dollars, as the Solicitor of the Treasury, after receiving testimony in relation thereto, shall deem an equitable indemnity for his time and expenses as a witness in relation to a mutiny on board the whale ship Meteor, as set forth in his petition.
