BE IT ENACTED
By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
Congress Assembled.
That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby directed and
required to pay to James Moorhead, out of any moneys in the treasury
not otherwise appropriated, such amount as shall fully compensate
and remunerate said Moorhead for all damages and losses sus-
tained by reason of the suspension by the government of the erection
of a dam in the Ohio, from a point on Wells island to a point
on the Virginia shore. ^(^The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby
authorized to examine all proofs in support of said claim of James Moorehead, and to make an equitable adjustment of the same, which shall be conclusive upon the rights of said Moorehead.^^)
