BE IT ENACTED
By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
Congress Assembled.
That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, directed to place the name of Josiah P. Pilcher on the muster roll of company F, second regiment of Kentucky volunteers, and that the proper accounting officers of the treasury pay to him whatever is by law allowed to a volunteer private, commencing from the seventh of July, eighteen hundred and forty-six, and to continue until said company was mustered out of service, and that said—Pilcher be also entitled to the benefit of the ninth section of “an act to raise for a limited time an additional military force, and for other purposes,” approved, February eleventh, eighteen hundred and forty-seven.
