That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, required to place the name of William
Whitcher of Canterbury, in the State of New Hampshire, on the roll of invalid pensions,
and pay to him a pension, at the rate of eight dollars per month, from the first day
of January, eighteen hundred and forty-eight, to continue during his natural life.
