A Bill to provide for the payment of the Companies of Capts. Bush, Price and SuaRez
^Suarez^ for military services in Florida.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America
in Congress assembled, that the Secretary of War cause to be paid ^one half of the pay and allowances of mounted troops^ to the following militia forces of the territory of Florida for the period of their
respective service, as hereinafter specified, to wit:
Capt. Bush’s company of mounted troops from the twenty fifth day of January one thousand
and eight hundred and thirty eight to the twenty fifth day of January one thousand
eight hundred and thirty nine.
Capt. Prices company ^of mounted troops^ from the twentieth day of January eighteen hundred and thirty eight to the twentieth
day of July one thousand and eight hundred and thirty nine.
Capt. Suares’s company of mounted troops from the twentieth day of July one thousand
eight hundred and thirty eight to the twentieth day of January 1839. eighteen hundred and thirty nine.
Provided
Sect. 2. And be it further enacted, that the muster rolls according to which the above
payments shall be made, shall be sworn to by the Captain or senior surviving officer
in Florida, of such Company, and approved by the Governor of that state.
Sect. 3. And be it further enacted, that so much money as may be necessary for the
purposes aforesaid, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of any unappropriated money in the treasury not ^otherwise appropriated^
