following bill:

For the relief of the legal representatives of John H. Piatt,
deceased.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That there be paid to the legal representatives
of John H. Piatt, deceased, out of any money in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one
hundred and thirty-one thousand five hundred and eight
dollars and ninety cents, in full satisfaction of the balance
which was due to the said Piatt, as contractor for fur-
nishing supplies to the northwestern army, under a con-
tract executed between the said Piatt and the Secretary
of War, dated January twenty-six, eighteen hundred and

fourteen, and under assurances of indemnity given by the
Secretary of War to the said Piatt, in December,
eighteen hundred and fourteen, and January, eighteen
hundred and fifteen, relative to the said supplies.
