For the relief of A. H. Patterson.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to ascertain and pay to A. H. Patterson, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the amount of damages sus- tained by the said Patterson, in consequence of the sudden termination of his engagement with the Post Office Department, on the tenth of October, A.D. eighteen hundred and forty, for the manufacture of mail bags at Columbus, in the State of Ohio. |
