A BILL
For the relief of the legal representatives of Wm. Armstrong,
deceased, late Choctaw agent and acting superintendent.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the Secretary of War be, and he is here-
by, authorized to pay to the legal representatives of Cap-
tain Wm. Armstrong, deceased, late acting superintendent
of western territory, the sum of three thousand two hun-
dred and seventeen dollars and nineteen cents, out of any
moneys not otherwise appropriated, in full compensation
for services rendered by the said Armstrong, in perform-
ing the duties of Cherokee agent, in eighteen hundred and
forty and eighteen hundred and forty-one, and of super

intendent of Choctaw removal, and agent for the payment
of scrip in the years eighteen hundred and forty-five,
eighteen hundred and forty-six, and eighteen hundred and
forty-seven; and in full of all other services rendered inde-
pendent of his duty as Choctaw agent and acting super-
intendent.
