A BILL
For the relief of the heirs of Daniel Pettibone.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and
he is hereby, authorized to pay to the heirs or legal repre-
sentatives of Daniel Pettibone, deceased, out of any
money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the
sum of five thousand dollars, in ful consideration for the
continued use, by the United States, in the capitol, and all
other public buildings, from the year eighteen hundred and
nineteen, of the patented invention of said Pettibone of a “ra-
rifying air furnace;” and that said sum shall be considered
. . . [sa]tisfaction for the said use now and forever, and that
. . . [acq]uittance therefor be given to the United States.
