A Bill to be entitled “An act regulating evidence in the Circuit and District Courts of the United States.”
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States
of America, in Congress Assembled, That, in any suit now pending, or hereafter to
be instituted in any Circuit, or District Court of the United States, the rules of
evidence governing the Courts of the States respectively, in which such Circuit or
District Courts may be held, shall be the rules of evidence for governing said Circuit or District
Courts.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws and parts of laws, contravening the
provisions of this act, be and the Same are hereby repealed.
