An Act to authorize the issue of treasury scrip for one hundred dollars to Eliza Johnson
widow of Francis Johnson late a soldier in the army in1 Mexico.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of
America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and required to issue to Eliza Johnson widow of Francis Johnson deceased,
late a private soldier in company H. of the eleventh regiment of infantry in the army
of the United States during the war with Mexico, treasury scrip for one hundred dollars,
upon the said Eliza Johnson; producing before the Commissioner of Pensions the necessary
and customary proof of the military service during the war aforesaid, and the honorable
discharge, of the said Francis Johnson deceased from the army of the United States, on the conclusion of the [same?], said war.
