To provide for the issuing a land patent to Thomas B.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre- sentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in the case of the claim, number thirty- nine, of James Cisne to a tract on the south side of the river Rouge, which is entered in the fourth volume of the reports of the Michigan commissioners, under the act of eleventh May, eighteen hundred and twenty, and for which a patent certificate, number two hundred and sixty- two, dated the eight July, eighteen hundred and thirty-one, has been issued by the register at Detroit, Michigan, and which certificate is accompanied by a transfer from James |

Cisne to David Thompson, it shall and may be lawful for the commissioner of the General Land Office, upon the production of an assignment from said Thompson to Thomas B. Clarke, and upon the return to the General Land Office of an official plat exhibiting the portion, con- taining about one hundred and thirty-four acres of the claim aforesaid, which lies south of the Chicago road, in township two south, of range ten east, to issue to the said Thomas B. Clarke a relinquishment patent, saving and reserving adverse rights, if any, and also saving and re- serving such portion, if any, as may be wanted for public purposes of the aforesaid tract within the present exterior lines of the military reserve on the river Rouge, this act being in lieu of the act of Congress, approved second July, eighteen hundred and thirty-six, entitled “An act to provide for the issuing a land patent to Thomas B. Clarke,” which is hereby repealed. |
