For the relief of John Stewart.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the name of John Stewart, formerly a
soldier in company I, in the ninth regiment of infantry, in
the service of the United States, be placed on the roll of
invalid pensions, at the rate of eight dollars a month, com-
mencing on the fourth of September, eighteen hundred
and forty-eight, to continue during his natural life.
