BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
THATthe Secretary for the Department of War be authorized to issue military land warrants to such persons as have or shall produce to him satisfactory evidence of the validity of their claims under any law heretofore in force, allowing bounties in land for military services rendered in the last war with Great Britain.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be lawful for the person or persons in whose behalf any land warrant may issue under the first section of this act, or the person or persons owning any unsatisfied military warrant heretofore issued by the Secretary for the Department of War, or the heirs or devisees of such person or persons, to enter, at the proper land office in any of the States or Territories in which the same may lie, the quantity of the public lands, subject to private entry, to which such person or persons shall be entitled, in virtue of the warrants aforesaid, in quarter sections.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the authority hereby vested in the Secretary for the Department of War, shall continue for the term of five years from and after the passage of this act, and no longer.
