BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America
in Congress assembled,
THATthe Secretary of the Navy is hereby directed to purchase from James P. Espy his patent
right for the conical ventilator for the use of the United States, for a sum not exceeding
ten thousand dollars, and that the purchase money for the same be paid out of any
moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
