BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
THATthe Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of three thousand one hundred and seventy five dollars and eleven cents to Thomas Rhodes, in full satisfaction for the expenses incurred by him in opening and constructing a road from Mobile, in Alabama, to Pascagoula bay, for the transportation of the mail in the year eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, in pursuance of an implied authority and contract from the Post Master General.
