BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
THATthe accounting officers of the Treasury Department be authorized and directed to settle the accounts of W. B. Slaughter, late Secretary of the Territory of Wisconsin, upon the principles of equity and justice; and that they cause to be paid to him the balance , if any due to him, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. ^Provided &c—^
