For the relief of Joseph F. Caldwell.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That the Postmaster General be hereby di-
rected to pay to Joseph F. Caldwell, out of any money in
the treasury derived from the Post Office Department, and
not otherwise appropriated, the sum of eleven hundred
and sixty-seven dollars; being the amount due him for
carrying the mail of the United States over routes number
two thousand and eighty and one thousand nine hundred
and eighty-four, in the State of Virginia, for one year pre-
ceding the thirty-first day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and thirty-four, under written contracts with
the Postmaster General.
