Chap. CCII. — An Act for the Relief of Purser Benjamin J. Cahoone.
Benjamin J. Cahoone to be allowed, in the settlement of his accounts, $237 67 for
the services of the captain's clerk on board the frigate Congress as purser's clerk.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America
in Congress assembled, That the accounting officer of the treasury be, and are hereby, authorized to allow
to Benjamin J. Cahoone, in the settlement of his accounts as purser, the sum of two
hundred and thirty-seven dollars and sixty-seven cents, for the services of Mr. Fleming,
late captain's clerk on board the United States frigate Congress, who performed the
additional duties of purser's clerk during a part of the late cruise of said frigate.
