BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America
in Congress assembled, THATthe power and jurisdiction given to the Commissioner of the General Land Office by
the act of the third of August, eighteen hundred and forty six, entitled “An act providing
for the adjustment of all suspended pre-emption land claims in the several States
and Territories,” shall continue and remain in force until the third day of August,
one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine.
