BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
THATthe Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause to be paid to Eugene Van Ness and John M. Brush, executors of Nehemiah Brush, out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of eight hundred dollars, as an indemnity for the loss of property belonging to their testator, the late Nehemiah Brush, deceased, destroyed at Micanopy, in Florida, by order of the commanding officer of the United States troops at that place, in August, eighteen hundred and thirty-six. Said money to be paid to said executors, upon production by them of the proper evidence of their being such.–
