BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
THATthe Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Morgan McAffee, (agent of the heirs and legal representatives of Joseph McAffee, deceased,) the sum of three hundred dollars, as recompense for the loss of two hundred and forty acres of land, purchased by said Joseph McAffee, from the trustees of Jefferson College, in the State of Mississippi, under the act of Congress of April twentieth, eighteen hundred and thirty two, for the benefit of said college, the title to which has totally failed; the same to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.–
