Resolved by the Senate and House of Representa- tives of the United States of America in Congress assem- bled, That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to cause to be refunded to indi- viduals^,^ ^[ penses incurred by them in organizing, subsisting, or trans- ^ raising, 3d ^ porting volunteers previous to their being mustered and received into the service of the United States for the present war, ^“^or for subsisting troops in the service of the United ^dele 3d a^ |
