JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to errors and defective returns in certain svrveys, plats, and field-notes.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives of the United States of America in Congress
assembled
, That there be paid to the purchasers, or to the
legal representatives of purchasers, of one hundred
and twenty-eight tracts of land in township one south,
range seven east, in the State of Michigan, (the original
surveys, returns, plats, and field-notes whereof have been
found by the surveyor-general, upon a re-survey, to have
been erroneous, deceptive, and untrue,) the several sums
for deficiencies and damages found due to them, respect-
ively, in virtue of the provisions of the resolution entitled
“A resolution relative to errors and defective returns in
certain surveys, plats, and field-notes,” approved August

tenth, eighteen hundred and forty-six, to be paid by the
Secretary of the Treasury, out of any money in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated, according to such
regulations as he shall prescribe: Provided, That said
sums so to be paid shall not, in the aggregate, exceed the
amount of twelve thousand dollars.
