Resolved By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
CONGRESS ASSEMBLED,
That the thanks of Congress are due, and are hereby, tendered to the officers, sailors, and marines of the Navy of the United States, for the zeal, and ability, with which their duty during the late war with Mexico, and especially for their efficient cooperation with the army of the United States in the capture of Vera Cruz, and the castle of Jan Juan de Ulloa, was performed.
Resolved, That the President of the United States, be requested to cause the foregoing resolution, to be communicated to the officers, sailors, and marines, of the Navy of the United States, in such terms as he may deem best calculated to give effect to the object thereof.
