Resolved By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
CONGRESS ASSEMBLED,
That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to cancel and discharge the bond given to the United States by Ferguson and Milhado, dated May twenty-second, eighteen hundred and forty-eight; and also the bond given to the United States by Williams, Staples and Williams, and Josiah Wills, dated June sixth, eighteen hundred and forty-eight, which said bonds were received by the collector at Norfolk, for duties on merchandize which was destroyed by fire, while in public store, on the fourteenth day of June eighteen hundred and forty-eight.
