Resolved By the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in
CONGRESS ASSEMBLED,

9 		That two hundred and forty copies of the “American Archives”
be placed at the disposal of the Joint Committee on the Library of
Congress, to be distributed from time to time under their direction, to
literary institutions in the several States and Territories, in the
proportion of one copy for every Representative and Delegate in Cong-
ress from said states and Territories ^(^; and each representative
in Congress shall present the Committee the name of the Institution to which a copy of such books shall be distributed^)^.
