Resolvedby the Senate and House of Representa-
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 THATagreeably to a Joint Resolution of the fifteenth of June,
4 eighteen hundred and forty-four, “for the relief of certain
5 Indian claimants under the Cherokee treaty of eighteen
6 hundred and thirty five – thirty six, the Secretary of the
7 Treasury pay, or cause to be paid the amount of certificate
8 issued by the late Board of Cherokee Commissioners under
9 the seventeenth article of said treaty in favor of Betsey Mc-
10 Intosh, ^“to the said Betsey McIntosh”^ to her, or her counsel and attorney in fact, out of any
unexpended appropriation heretofore made under an act
approved the second of July, eighteen hundred and thirty-six,
entitled “An act making further appropriations for carrying
into effect certain Indian Treaties”
